Can a Lee Load-All do a roll crimp for slugs? No, a roll crimp is done with a spinning roll crimper. And you can NOT roll crimp a shell that was star crimped when new. You must use new empties for roll crimping. (or cut a 3 inch shell back to 2 3/4 to get rid of the star crimped front.)
Do I HAVE to do roll crimps for slugs? Lee and lyman sabot slugs load in standard trap one-piece wads, and can be loaded in star crimped shells, then crimped in your lee load-all. A foster type full sized slug should be roll crimped.
