I was able to score few pounds of Longshot as it looked to be pretty versatile in the few pistol calibers i use. I bought the 130 RNFP for some cowboy shooting and i cant find ANY load data anywhere. Can anyone point me somewhere or share some personal experience? thanks

I use Longshot for 38 spcl, but only +P jacketed, as published by Hodgdon. I haven't personally seen cowboy loads with Longshot, but again, I don't load anything but +P jacketed. Same thing for .357 mag., all I see is jacketed with L.S..

Maybe someone else will come along with some reliable data, as per your application?

I recently picked up some too and have been searching for data. Haven't found much for lead in 38.

Longshot is on the slow side pistol powders and not suitable for loading .38 Special Cowboy loads. That powder just will not burn correctly at very low pressures.

For cowboy loads try to find some W231/HP-38, Trail Boss, AA#2, Clays and other similar faster powders.

I agree with ArchAngelCD. I found Longshot is not consistent with low pressure or attempted low velocity loads in 38 Sp and similar calibers. It has been several years but it was not what I was looking for. IIRC it was pretty good as an alternative powder in some magnum loadings but not really efficient.
