My 700V is a 1:12. I endorse the V-Max recommendation of "dakotasin." The A-Max is probably a bit better in my gun, and I doubt the varmint would know the difference. With published loads for Benchmark, Varget, or H322, that rifle will turn in .5 MOA.
ahh, yeah, i forgot the a-max... i don't have a rifle that doesn't shoot those superbly, but when i think 22's, i immediately think varmints, which progresses to v-max...
My VLS shot light bullets powered by Varget VERY WELL! It is just a matter of working with the gun to make it work!
I used the same load 27.5gr of Varget for 40gr and 55gr NBT and 50gr Vmax in WW case lit by RP 7.5 primer! The downside to Varget is it fills the cases with the heavier loads! Might need to use a drop tube to get the powder in the case.
With all that said I would not ever load ammo for anyone other then myself and my weapons! Too much exposure liability wise!
My Remington 700 bdl in 223 likes 55gr. It doesnt seem to matter what brand either. Just about any 55 gr bullets I shoot factory or reloads give me around 1 inch groups or better at 100yrds. With H4895 and sierra 55gr SBT or Hornady 55br SPT I can cover 3 shots with a dime at 100 yards. These are the only bullets I have tried for reloads but I am sure I could get this with others with the right powder match.
