Ok folks I recently ordered a 6.5 Grendel upper 18 inch barrel so question what are your favorite loads for the 6.5 Grendel

CFE 223 seems to be the speed king for the Grendel but accuracy it seems like IMR 8208 has the edge at least it does in my rifle.

A very popular load is 28ish grains of 8208 and a 123 Amax/SST. My 20" upper likes 27.3 grains 8208 and a 123 SST. 2435fps which is fairly slow but it's very accurate and the buck I shot with it didn't get far.

If 8208 doesn't work well in your 6.5 Grendel, either your rifle is busted or you're trying to do something with it you really shouldn't.

I got good accuracy from cfe223, and even tho I had a pound never tried 8208. I was right at the top end with cfe.

Recently started with Grendel myself. I think it should be pointed out the bullet weight matters. CFE223 is too slow burn rate for most Grendel loads. Hodgdon will not list it for Grendel at all. People that do have good reports with CFE223 tend to be loading the heaviest bullets that will fit, and no less than 123gr. That makes the versatility of that powder for Grendel very limited. Lighter bullets may be significantly less costly to shoot. I'm shooting 90 gr. Speer TNT to start with because the bullet cost is half that of Hornady 123 gr. I plan to hunt with 100 gr. bullets. I don't think CFE223 would work well with the 90 or 100 gr. bullets that are popular for Grendel.

I'm just getting into this, but from what I've learned, I'd suggest to look at H335, IMR8208, or Reloader 15. I haven't used it yet, but 8208 has the best reports for wide nodes of for accuracy, temperature insensitivity and overall forgiveness. From what I've read, it sounds hard to go wrong with that powder for Grendel. I'm using H335, but I've only shot 40 rounds of it so far.
