Folks, do any of you reload your 7.62X25 for the CZ 52? I recently purchased a set of Lee dies, and picked up ~60 empty S&B 7.62X25 cases at a range where I was shooting last week. After I cleaned and lubed them, I resized and de-primed, and noticed that most of the brass had a small dent at the mouth where the ejector dented the brass as it was leaving the chamber. The full length resize didn't get completely rid of the little dent. Does it matter, or when you re-seat the new bullet, will that dent be removed?
Also, and as the subject line indicates, do you all trim this cartridge before re-loading it? I was thinking perhaps of having Lee make a 7.62X25 length gauge (as I use this system for trimming all my brass, pistol as well as rifle, and it has worked well for me) but was wondering if it is necessary, and what you all might use to trim your cases.
Lee would have to custom manufacture this length gauge, as it is not one of their common sizes, but they demand to know the exact length and diameter to make their length gauge.
Does anyone have any experience with this, and would you be willing to share your thoughts? Thanks so much in advance, Richard:confused:

I don't know if you are going to have to trim the cases . I am new to reloading for the CZ-52 also .I use the Lee die set also ,
so far new cases started at .962 after 3 loadings
they shrunk to .955
I have been shooting lead bullets from Penn bullets.com
No leading and its nice cause they are within driving distance from me.

Good Luck , Bill

Loading for the CZ 52

Thanks, Bill, for your reply. Would it be possible for you to let me know what recipes you may be using? What size/caliber/weight bullet, and what powder and how much? I'm attempting to compile some of this information so that I may soon load a few and chronograph the results. Thanks again, Richard

Matt

I have been using lead 90 gr. RN bullets with
8 gr of Accurate No. 5
with Starline brass
