You should only need the rifle feeding rig. There are only the large, small, and rifle feeding assemblies. The difference between the pistol and rifle feeders is the length of the mounting bolt, and maybe the opening.
I use the Lee large pistol case feeder by putting in a longer mounting bolt and also taping a similarly sized wooden block to the top of the pistol case slider with a front end concave profile matching the factory slider. The wooden block combined with the factory feeder is about 1/16 of an inch shorter than the length of a .223 casing. I had to cut the concave on the top of the wooden block back a bit to get the casings to drop off the edge everytime. It feeds 100%.
My experience with .223 and my Loadmaster is that the cases tend to fall over as soon as they drop out of the tube. Move slowly and smoothly and it will work out OK, providing your bench is not wobbly at all. And, hesitate at the bottom of the stroke to let all that powder come through that little .22 cal. case mouth....
