ok, so I voted for the midwest, before I saw that you listed Michigan in the North. I've always been under the understanding that Michigan was part of the MidWest :) You're results are just gonna be skewed by 1 I guess :)

I'm here on the east coast in the former capital of the Confederacy. Some would say it's still the deep south.

Now, as to the question of Pennsylvania. Which side was it on during the War of Northern Aggression? The correct answer being The Yankee Side. ;)

...and to think all this time I would call it the winning side.:what: (Ooooohhhhh! did he really say that?)

Easy there folks, I'm just teasing. I have hard time being lumped with Marxachusetts librals...

Oklahoma. You may have heard of it .... another small 'suburb' of Mexico, just north of the Red River.

I was born and raised a Texan, but somehow wound up living in Minnesota.:what:
BTW, Minnesota is in the "Midwest" according to most folks.

Aero, are your from Garland or did you move there later??

I agree with the posters who said Minnesota and Michigan are Midwest. There is a big difference between Montana and either one, except far northeastern Montana. Actually there is a kind of common cultural/ political area along the northern and central Rockies, and adjacent areas, supplanted or modified in some areas by urban migrants.

I'm trying to sort this all out. You've got the Northeast and Southeast, but the Middle East is on the other side of the world. To get to the Far East you have to go far west. You have the Mid South, the Mid West which is the center of the country, but no Mid North. There is the Southwest, and the Pacific Northwest, but no regular Northwest. So, if you live along the Mason-Dixon line, you would either live in the Northsouth or the Southnorth. This is all so confusing...AHHHHHHHHHH... :banghead:

Where's the Pacific Northwest? Surely, everyone knows that the PNW (Washington, Oregon) are NEVER to be associated with California or lumped in with "the West Coast?"
I think the Northwest has been pretty well California, Will.

I must agree with cavman

Feels like Virginia got lumped into "Yankee Land".

You wouldn't know it listening to the people around here talking about "The War of Northern Aggression"

Nobody said SouthWest!!

New Mexico, Colorado, Texas are SouthWest.

Yes, please don't lump us in with California. :barf:

And Sarge, we still own our property north of Downingtown in the March Creek area, so I know Victory well.

Deep behind enema lines in Illinois.

And yes I do mean enema, I figure the only way that Blagojavich and Daley along with all of their leftist buddies in IL will ever get a clue, is to get a group enema. Personally, I recommend using a firehose.

Indiana, a free state among various unfree states: the only safe path out is to the South! (Sorry, Buckeyes, and sorrier still to you poor, gun-registry Michiganders -- and IL, well, I'd offer my opinion but I'm pretty sure "fomenting sedition" is a crime over there and we don't need the refugee problem anyway).
