Lone Wolf 357 Sig barrel for Glock 22

I purchased a 357 SIG Barrel from Lone Wolf (31357N). It does not work in my G22. The barrel lug for the spring/guide rod is set farther back than the factory barrel, so the spring is not held in place.
Out of curiosity I assembled the gun with the new barrel minus the spring and guide rod, the slide would not go back.
I have done a little internet research and found no info on similar problems.
Does anyone have any similar experience?

It is a Gen 2 purchased mid 1990's (police trade in).
I called and emailed Lone Wolf, explained the problem and sent a photo of the two barrels showing the difference.
I was told the Generation didn't matter. Today I received this response:

"The Armor finish reamed the chamber and polished the chamber. We were unable to duplicate any fitment issues as reported on your Warranty claim form. You should find this eliminates the issues you are experiencing. This warranty work was performed at no cost to you."

Not sure how polishing the chamber will help. Sent another email to the guy I spoke to first. No response yet.
