Long range tuning

I am headed out Friday morning for hopefully a great weekend although as the day approaches I have to admit im quite nervous for a couple of reasons, one I haven't shot a match since last August and two i haven't shot this rifle past 500 yards and only minimum rounds on this barrel/ tune.
Any words of wisdom are welcome......lol

Walk up the (Gallow) steps to these pictures from the Deep Creek range.
I got on paper easy enough then ran a few test groups as the headwind and mirage tried to wreck me. Im now deciding on which depth. Upper left on brass number 1 or bottom left on brass number 2 with a slightly less depth.

Upper left is dam nice shooting in tuff conditions I would stay there for my 2 cents

I do as well except that bottom left ( BK) is 3 shots at a tad over 3 inch, anyway I have both depths (actually right in between) ready for tomorrow .

Bench assignments for today's event shows how each competitor shoots from a different bench each time plus pit duty in between relays.

here are today's results, ( Jim frank) the latter relays took a lot of wind in fact the last two relays most of us got blown up. Hard to read from a picture i suppose.
I can post targets a bit later

Hard to get too up tight when the best shooters get blown up on the same relay.lol

Thx & Yes but im a little soar from all the back and forth, I just finished seating more rounds for tomorrow.
My heavy gun load wasn't bad all things considered just not as centered up as I could have been theres where my overall slipped to 17th, my light gun groups I think will improve by changing the seating slightly plus I shouldn't get blown up tomorrow.

I can't conclude too much until I get back and stare at them for a while and put things into perspective.
First impression is i have plenty of room for improvement.

Oh heck no' just trying not get my butt kicked too awfully bad.
I can see that my tune improved from day to day but there is some kind of disconnect or mental error as all of my sighters are in the 10 ring no problem however when the record string target is raised my rounds are not representative of my point of aim.

It's been about 5 years since I shot at the range in Missoula. I'm going to have to get back up there this year.
