Longest inline kill

Ironically the longest shot I have taken at a deer in Fl. was 103 yards with my inline Traditions wally world special. I sight it in at 50 which covers any area I hunt near home, but I fired a couple of rounds at 100 just to see how I would do and what the drop is (6-7") - just in case. It paid off when I was hunting a couple of years ago next to a clear cut in another part of the state - that doe was DRT.

I had a Knight Wolverine way back. Cheap Tasco 4x.
MMP sabots, Remington 240gr JHP, 100gr FFg and a #11.
Was a great shooter and popped deer to 150 with no problem.
And I sold it to a coworker and bought a Stainless TC Hawken.

Why?

Because that Knight made it too easy. Was a killing machine.

I had good eyes so iron sights and having to cock the hammer when big ears are close.....was fun for a while.

Longest shot was 178 yards, iron sights, TC Renegade. Pinwheeled.
Had a New Englander that after bbl polish cloverleafed irons, in the X at 100.
Lost that target in a move...........dangit.
It would vertically string when new.
We learned (me and a bud) that it took about 100 round ball shots to get a new TC to behave.

Saw one that had a bbl channel off a bit and the hooked breech didn't set right. Guy had a peep on tang and missed an elk. Sold me the gun cheap. I bedded the bbl, fixed screws that were run in the stock, and went w the barrel sight.

Thats the one that popped the deer at 178. Sold that to a coworker who hollered at me in the hall months later, ran up to me..........like he was mad or something.

Said he finally got around to shooting that Renegade and said it was the most accurate muzzleloader he ever saw. I just smiled and said " yeah, I told ya it was a good one".

Last December we had a Holiday hunt after Christmas here in NY.
Around 4:35 I saw movement from the corner of the field I was sitting and a nice looking buck sauntered out fo the woods.
147 yds with a rangefinder and my CVA Optima V2 with a charge of 110 grains of Blackhorn 209 and a 300 grain scorpion pt gold bullet. F6BA34F6-3202-4E9F-98B3-806547F63129.jpeg 48D72F35-DD22-424B-92A7-F25E518B0F55.jpeg

Took a doe today at 130 yards with my T/C Impact. I have to say, for under $600, Leupold 2x7 scope and gun, it has killed more deer than my other expensive bolt actions since 2013.
I made an almost identical shot with my CVA mag hunter. 4x32 Nikon.
My sister-in-law made a 135 yard one with an iron sighted tc hawken 50. It's the most impressive shot I've witnessed.
