Looking at buying an M&P 22 and adding a suppressor

Actually I already have the suppressor.

The question I have is whether I can simply unscrew the brake from the rifle and screw the suppressor on?

I realize I may have to add a couple of washers to the barrel to compensate for the extra thread length on the barrel.

Anyone have any experience with this?

Most 22 suppressors use ~.400 thread length and the M&P 22 thread length is the standard AR length ~.650. So you need to get a 22 spacer. I would not recommend using washers.

When you remove the FH, clamp the barrel in the vice, not the hand guard rail.

ive got one that was a made before they threaded them and threaded my own. To answer your question, yes the suppressor uses the same thread as the flast suppressor. Problem you might run into is mine would reliably feed any sub sonic ammo. Ive tried about all of it and ive yet to get more then 5 or 10 through the gun without a jam. Maybe if a guy fooled with springs you could get it to run but mine stock sure doesn't. Also some like the heavy bullet subsonic stuff doesn't even like to feed out of the magazine.
