I've looked all over, but am unable to find a solid laser light combo for my 4" XD. Anyone have any suggestions on where I can fight a good laser light combo for my pistol? Spending less than 200 would be nice! :D

I have the Streamlight TLR-2 on my XDm, and I paid over $250.00 for it. In hindsight, I would absolutey stick with light-only TLR-1; the Laser is really not needed for SD with a light this bright; save the money & invest in Heine Straight 8's. You can find the TLR-1 for less than $100.00. It is a quality piece & EXTREMELY bright.

I also highly recommend the Streamlight TLR-1. I believe LA Police Gear had them for $89 or so, though their prices may have changed as I haven't looked in a long time. I have extensive experience with the TLR-1 as well as the TLR-2.

The TLR-2 is great, and the laser is very visible even with the surrounding bright white light of the LED. The one thing I don't like is that it costs significantly more than the TLR-1.

If you don't mind having a separate light and laser, you could mount this laser and mount the TLR-1 tac light to the bottom. Said combo would keep you under your $200 limit: http://www.combathunting.com/LASER_SIGHTS-Rail_Mount_Laser_System.html

The disadvantage, however, is that you lose the ability to turn on both the light AND laser with a single switch like you can with a laser-light combo, and it would be bulkier than an all-in-one unit. The laser in the above link is a copy of the Lasermax Unimax laser IIRC. The original Unimax is about $200 alone.

Hope this helps. :)

i have a streamlight m6 that has worked great, i have had it for years, and have ran it on my xd for several training events, and it is solid and reliable.

I'm looking at the Insight Laser Light combo for $170. Seems like a good buy.

I recently bought an Insight WX150L and it is the best light laser combo i have seen. Its smaller and has 150 lumen plus a strobe feature. Price is around $350 range.

Im using the TLR 2 on my XDM .. a little more then 200.00 but I cant complain about the performance .. and previous comments are dead on .. the Light is so dammed bright (80 Lumens I think ) The laser is almost not needed .

I've had one for my FNP-45 for close to a year now, and am very happy with it. Holds zero popping it on and off the gun, I've never had to adjust it since I bought it, though I've only had maybe 800-1000 rounds through the gun with the light/laser on. Check on Ebay, I got mine from a guy's store selling new ones for ~120.

TLR-2

.

I have a TLR-2 on my XD40 Tactical. It is one of my home defense
guns and I keep it in my night stand.

I could not disagree more about this light versus the TLR-1 or any
"just light" only.

I can poke this weapon around a corner and make a DEAD on shot
with only revealing a small part of my body. You might think you
can do that with a light only, but you can't.

The addition of a TLR-2 or some comparable product turns a pistol into
a superbly competent low light or no light weapon. Just amazing.

I bought it recently off of Ebay for $230 shipped.

As mentioned, one of the best is the Streamlight TLR-2, light/laser combo.

With a name like BlackOps, aren't you issued a laser-light combo?

Kidding, don't freak. I'll plus-one on the Streamlight, it's an excellent light!

Go to ebay and type in Insight M6. Lots of them going for under $200.

Out of your price range but really damn nice, take a look at the Surefire M400.

I'm having trouble finding a combo for under 200 now...help please?

NC Star... Light Laser combo... i paid 100 even. Its held "0" perfectly on the 3 guns i have them on with hundreds if not 1000+ through them. The ligth is very bright as well.

Can't go wrong IMO... it does the job and does it well.

I have a TLR 1 and a TLR 2. The TLR 1 has thus far held up well to use on saiga 12 with 3" mag slug and 000 loads. The TLR 2 is on a handgun and I like it.
