Hi I am looking to get a get an OWB holster for a friend's birthday who moved to an open carry state last year. He carry's a Gen 1 M&P Shield with a streamlight TLR-6 combination light and laser. And while I can use the google to find options I am not sure what to look for as I am quite skinny and my friend is 500+ pounds and round and has folds. So I am hoping to get some advice from other plus size individuals that carry.

I carry my Shield Plus in a DeStantis Mini Slide OWB & I'm sorry to say I have the gut problem. Comfortable all day, tension screw for retention. Stock photo...not me LOL Sorry I didn't read it all about the attachments before posting.

Comfort will be very personal. He's a big guy so he should have a whole bunch of belt real estate available for placement.

The issue is really finding a holster for the gun/light/laser combination. When you start adding stuff to a pistols, lights, lasers, optics, you eliminate a whole bunch of leather options that are usually more comfortable.

You are probably looking for a kydex holster for that combination.

I found leather and hybrid holsters where I can run the belt over the holster is more comfortable to me (44" waste), holsters that "hang" off the belt seams to stick out farther and get in the way, I also bought a mag carrier that mounts horizontal on the left side that I like also
