Looking for a source of new .22 Hornet Brass

No brass.... but in the last couple of weeks I have found Hornady loaded ammo for $20/25, and PPU loaded ammo for $30/50 at local gun stores.

If you haven't done it yet, the Hornady factory ammo flash holes are much smaller than standard and you have to find a way to deprime them. RCBS sent me a decapping pin for a 22 ppc or something like that and even that pin gets stuck occasionally. I use a touch of lube on the pin to help it not stick and that mostly works. I would avoid it unless you absolutely needed it. It is a PITA.

ADKWOODSMAN: I shoot a 22 Hornet and a 218 Bee. And I have the same problem as You finding brass. I try to check the Cabelas and Gander Mtn as often as I can you never know what they will get in over night. But other than gun shows I am finding 22 Hornet and 218 Bee brass at of all places at Estate Sales at very good prices most of the time. I found 5 unopened bag of 100 each Win 218 Bee brass about a year ago. Last day of the sale I bought the 5 bags of brass and some other reloading stuff for $ 20.00. Reloading equiptment when You find it is usually very cheap not like Ammo is. You might give Estate Sales a try. Good Luck to You:

Too bad this wasn't posted last week. One of the local gun shops had several 100 22 Hornet cases for sale on their "junk" table. I thought about it but passed and picked up some nice C_H dies for 10 bucks a set.

Thanks to those who responded. I will just keep looking.

My total supply is the 15 oncefired I found at the local range.

My buddy has a Hornet and maybe I can bum some off of him.

I only have an insert for my single shot .223 so I don't need many.
