Brother is visiting from Cave Creek, AZ and took them out shootin Kimbers today. They like and are interested in finding one when they get home. Where might be the best place to find a good selection at a good price where they deal with good people. Any suggestions and imput would be helpful.

Only one I can think of that always has a nice selection is:

BEAR ARMS

10269 N. Scottsdale Rd.

Scottsdale, AZ 85253

480 998 2727

The people that work there are very friendly and knowledgeable too.

AZ Kimber

There's a place in Mesa(near Phoenix)called Caswells: I THINK they sell Kimbers(last time I was there...about a year ago)and have an indoor range. They rent a good assortment of handguns, including Kimbers. Very friendly and knowledgable and had a 'Smith who learned his trade in the service.

It reminds me of that old adage...

usually associated with the work of tradesmen of one sort or another:

"Good, Fast or Cheap...Pick any TWO."

Darn near an oxymoron when it comes to the gun biz here in town. As much as I hate to say it, Big Bore on E. Bell Rd. in N. Phoenix normally has a good selection, along with Springfield and his own unique custom 1911s.

For the best of all three, however, I second the recommendation for Bear Arms. Ask for Daryl or Jeff for the best assistance.;)_

Shoot, if he lives in Cave Creek, tell him to just shoot up the road to the Sportsman's Warehouse on Yorkshire and the I-17!

They can look around here in Va too. Either buy or put on layaway and have it shipped to a FFL in Az near their home. Compare the prices and get the best deal.

Sportsman's Warehouse can be cheap, but check the prices. I found them to be all over the board.

Bear Arms is one of the best in Phoenix. They aren nice guys, have a great selection, and are resonably priced.

Pistol Parlor in Mesa is consistantly the cheapest, but they would probably have to order what you want.

The Armory is about the only shop in town with guys that are at least partly tuned into reality (I can say that, I worked in AZ gunshops for 5 years), but their prices are what you would expect from a north Scottsdale gunshop.

Do you mean to say that they are well-informed?
