I shoot left and right side ejection doesn't bother me in the least. I shoot a Mossberg 500 because of the tang safety and some other ergos I like, it ejects to the right. I shoot a Winchester 1400 on which I've installed a left hand safety (crossbolt), but it ejects on the right.
No auto that I know of ejects to the bottom. Remington made, probably makes, 1100s that are left handed. Might look into that. The world, though, is not kind to the southpaw, it seems. But, really, ejection to the right, I don't even think about that when I'm shooting. Couldn't shoot a bullpup that way, but they handle like crap anyway, wouldn't own one for that reason alone.
My ideal for a southpaw auto is the mossberg 930/935. Tang safety, but it does eject to the right. It's not real expensive and the safety is natural for the southpaw. You might check one out, see what ya think. The catch is the 935 shoots 3" and 3.5", the 930 shoots 2 3/4 and 3". However, guys that own them tell me the 935, after some break in, is good with heavy 2 3/4" loads.
