Anybody have any idea's where to look? My dad brought me a ton of M3 parts, all new original stuff packed in cosmo.. figured I should try and find out what kind buckage I'd be talking to put this together....

Probably wouldn't cost much to buy some cut receivers, but unless you are a Class 2 SOT the taxpayer paid vacation in Fed prison probably isn't worth it.

Did you look on www.subguns.com or www.sturmgewehr.com ? Every now and then someone is selling saw cut receivers that you can reweld.

Wouldn't do me much good, I do have a friend (see tagline) that is a Class III manufacturer and could put one together..
But I don't think I'm up for the hassle and expense of that kinda licensing..

thanks for the links though, I'll poke around there. I have a feeling I'll end up selling the parts.. then buy more ammo ;-)

Whether your licensed manufacturer friend could put it together or not, he could not transfer it to you. All machinegun registration for individuals was frozen in 1986.

To turn an M3 receiver into a semi-auto, you first need to have the receiver, which means all the "hassle" of buying a machinegun. But no one who can buy a machinegun would want to convert it to semi-auto.

There have been a few semi-auto copies of the M3, but the ones I have seen were not especially good and the parts (or most of them) don't appear to be interchangeable.
