Looking for more information on old Mercury Model M-34, single shot 10 gauge shotgun. Made in Spain.

I've had this collecting dust for several years, got it from a yard sale for $50 in as-is condition. Seller knew nothing about it, sat in their closet for decades. but as far as I can tell it is in functioning condition, the action locks up solidly and the firing pin pokes through the breech face when the trigger is pulled. Haven't fired it, but would like to get a box of shells just to see how it swings and maybe bust some clays.


Anyone heard of it, or can tell me approximately when it might have been made? It apparently predates serial numbers as there are none on the barrel or action.

When I was a kid, my dad had a 10ga Mercury Magnum which was a double barrel shotgun.

I don't recall him actually shooting it but he had one and man that thing was big and heavy. I believe he bought it in the early 1960's, which would probably be the same time period as yours.
 
Oh also, I found a serial number, it was hidden on an inside surface of one of the action arms, and on opposing inside surface of the other arm, I found these proof stamps:
