I'm interested in the wood stocked field grade gun. Any reliability issues. How about any concerns regarding the gas system or other components.

Thanks...

To a Beretta or Benelli owner they are junk, but to everyone (98%) of people who own them they are very reliable, accurate, tough shooters.

I made that percentage up because I very rarely read about anyone not liking the 930, and the ones that don't like it say it is total crap and that you should buy a SBE or M2. I love mine, and a friend of mine loves his.

The 930 is the best valued autoloader on the market today..........period.

Just make sure to clean it very, very well when you first get it and you won't have any problems....
(Mossberg packs ther guns with a perservative film, that once it heats up gets very "gummy")

There is a Guide block (for lack of a better term) with two pins on it. Its under the foregrip and slides fore and aft with the action. This part has proven to be problematic. It breaks. Mossburg sent me two when the first one failed the first year. I still have the 2nd one. No problems since.

Although it is not exactly what you are looking at, I love my 930 spx and have no problems with it with all different sorts of loads (target, 00, high/low brass, steel, 2 3/4 and 3, etc.) even when mixed together randomly. It will shoot as fast as I can, so no problems there.

Now, I did clean it well before ever shooting it and clean it after every session, but I do that with pretty much everything. Disassembly to clean is straightforward.

In short, I love mine.

Thank guys. Looking for a nice and reliable 12ga gas gun for around $500 bucks or so. Everything I read about the 930 is positive. Half the price of a new 1100 and made in the USA...
