Looks like Paul Harrell is coming to the end of his road...

Paul is and his videos were a gem in the firearm media space! Hopefully, this is a personal retirement choice, but it appears he has some issues he’s dealing with.

I might have to recreate a meat, orange, denim simulation in his honor!

I read somewhere that Paul has pancreatic cancer. I enjoyed his videos and his deadpan style of presentation. I watch very few youtubers when it comes to firearms. He was one of the few.

He announced that on his channel a few months back.
I hate to hear that, it's a fate worse than death. Only a 5% survival to two years from diagnosis, think of Patrick Swayze and Alex Trebek. I also enjoyed Paul's deadpan humor and his way of presenting his information, he's one of maybe four regular gun channels I'll even watch. I'll have to give his brother a look-see.

I'm a little late to the game, but yeah, he posted a 15 minute "Channel Update" 5 months ago stating that he has Pancreatic cancer. Then, this morning, he posted a sub one minute video today stating "the time I have left...has become very short" and introduces his brother. It's a sad day in the guntuber world. If you look at his channel, he asn't posted anything in a month until today. Cancer takes a lot out of a person.

He was recently nominated for Best Outdoorsman and Most Likely To Survive The Apocalypse for this year's Gundie Awards. I hope he wins them both.

Gunblast.com on YT went through this a few years ago, and his brother took over the channel. It's good but not the same. Not to detract from Harrell's brother, but it won't be the same.

Here are links to the two videos I mentioned:

I like Boge, but Jeff was unique. Same with Paul...may he survive.

Paul is one of my favorite channels on YouTube and it's going to suck without him around. Covid and the shortages affected his ability to test different ammunition and review certain guns and calibers and his videos during that time lost a step. Was hoping with things inproving he'd get back some of the magic, but then the cancer diagnosis came.

The odds are slim Paul will see 2025.

Add me to being one of Paul’s YT groupies. Thoroughly enjoyed his videos and like others, I learned things I never knew.

As someone dealing with cancer myself, I can only imagine how Paul felt when he received the diagnosis. While mine is not pancreatic, it is a rare form of cancer, but I’m doing okay. I wish Paul the best. He will be missed.

Cancer sucks. Glad to hear you’re doing okay.
