Factory sights on a 75b. The rear sight is loose in the dovetail (in the center of its range but tight when pushed to the left or right). I thought I'd take a punch and put a bur on the base of the sight, but it's a bit hard to get a grip on the little bugger.

You help would be appreciated

Tom

You might try the gunsmithing forum here on The High Road. This thread belongs there. BTW, duck tape fixes everything. :)

Edit: Hmm...so my post DID post. Well, not only is your thread in the wrong forum here on The High Road, but it's a duplicate. Anyone know a mod that can fix these?

REAR SIGHT IS Punched to Hold It In Place

The CZ 75B rear site is in a dovetale and is punched after factory positioning.
You need a small punch. You should be able to see the factory punch mark on the front bottom flat of the rear site. Mine almost looked like a roll-pin hole.

My 75b clone did the same thing. I took the sight off, and then center punched up a bit of metal in the center of the slide dovetail. This solved it once I reinstalled the sight.
