What are folks' experience with Lone Wolf Distributing Glock barrels? I'm looking into getting a suppressor soon and I don't want to totally break my bank in "upgrading" the G26. I want a blued threaded barrel. LWD's look pretty good. I know Jarvis is supposedly the best, but I really don't want to pay twice as much. What say you THR people?

I've got a LWD match barrel for my G27 and I love it.

For about $100, it's a solid shooter. More accurate than the stock barrel, maybe because of standard rifling vs polygonal rifling, and it looks good.

IMO, get the ones with the logo on the bottom, the ones with the logo on the block are a bit ostentatious for me.

Are they "drop in" or is fitting required ? Where's the cheapest place to get them ? It would be nice to "upgrade" my G23 so I can shoot lead.

I have a 40-9 barrel from them for my 27, works very well, reliable as long as I use 26 magazines and not 33 round stick mags.

They look ridiculous anyway.

I have to admit, I really don't like the mascot on the top of the barrel. That'd be a major eyesore.

If you want to keep the classic Glock look and polygonal rifling, the lockup angle for the 26 is the same as the 19, so you could probably buy an OEM G19 barrel and have it threaded (preferrably by the manufacturer of the silencer).

I have a LWD 9mm conversion barrel for my G33. While I haven't shot with it yet I can say that it slipped right in without any fitting as easily as a factory barrel.

As to the mascot on top of the barrel, at first I was a bit taken back, but since then I have decided that it's kinda cool.

Service from LWD was top notch.

I have one for a G19 and one for my G26. Both are threaded and no I don't like the logo. On the other hand, they dropped right in and lock up tight. I don't notice any improvment in accuracy but I haven't had any problems with reliability.

Be aware that LWD barrels have tighter chambers than Glock OEM barrels and often are not as reliable. Feeding and/or extraction problems can result. It's the price you pay for increased accuracy.

Stick with OEM barrels for a defensive handgun.

Also, LWD will sell you a barrel without the wolf logo for about $15-20 extra if I recall correctly.

Prince Yamato...

Buy the barrels direct from Lone Wolf...www.lonewolfdist.com

As mentioned earlier, you can get them with either the logo on the locking block, or underneath if you think it's a little too much. I don't think it's any extra the last time I checked.

Also, I have used UMC, WWB and Rangers in it with zero feed issues. (I did have two light strikes on a recent trip to the range, but that isn't a barrel or feeding issue)

My LW barrel in my G17 runs just as good as the stock barrel. Super reliable and it dropped right in. Mark

9mm Conversion barrel in glock 35?

Are you saying that the lw conversion 9mm barrel will cycle and shoot well from a Glock 35? Thanks for the great idea I may get one.

I have one for my G20, and it has been flawless. Tight chamber for support for my reloads, and as accurate or more so than the factory barrel. It dropped right in with no issues whatsoever.

I see LWD makes external "ported" barrels and they extend about 1" from the slide. Is the reduction in muzzle flip really that noticable say in a G23 ? I'm curious about any pros and cons.

I've bought a LWD replacement bbl for my G23 and a 10mm to 40 conversion bbl for my G20. Both dropped right in but neither would feed. The chamber mouths were razor sharp. A very slight radius and polish of the chamber mouth and ramp cured that. They are both 100% reliable now and the brass comes out in pretty good shape compared to a stock Glock bbl. YMMV

I ran one in a G19 and it was 100% reliable and accurate. I could care less about the logo I care how it performs.

I have a black lwd threaded barrel for a glock 21 and it functions fine. I have been told that suppressors don't work well with sub compacts. I have aac evolution 45 and they have a nelson device incorporated in the suppressor. If you get the barrel please let us know how well it works. Hope this helps.
