My wife just gave me a Lyman Accu Touch 2000 as a birthday present. I currently use a beam scale (RCBS 505). I am perfectly happy with the RCBS, and trust it completely. Due to past experience with an electronic scale, albeit a significantly less expensive unit. I have little to no trust in electronic scales.

Anybody have experience using this particular Lyman? I am interested in your experience with this unit. Do you find it to be accurate, and reliable? What do you like, or dislike about it?

We did some myth busting of digital scales in this thread - http://www.thehighroad.org/showthread.php?t=759750

Thanks to the contribution of many, we were able to conclude that many digital scales can be accurate enough to 1/10th of a grain to be used for reloading. Of course, I still recommend the use of a set of check weights in the weight range of your powder charges.

I use two Ohaus 10-10 beam scales on my reloading benches as reference but also use Frankford Arsenal DS-750 and Gemini-20 digital scales.

Before you use it each time just compare it against your beam. That's what I did with my RCBS Chargemaster and I've had it long enough now that I completely trust it. Although, I still do the comparison each time I find the digital easier to use.

Never a bad thing to have two scales to compare against each other.
