I’ve got an old Lyman lead pot. It still heats lead and runs like a dream but the thermostat quit. It runs all the time now and I have to watch the thermometer and kill the power strip. I can just about out run it casting a big bullet in a 4 cavity, adding ingots to keep it cool.
Anyways does anyone know if there’s parts for these thing around? I’d like to fix it if I can. It’s kinda a piece of history.

I made one for my Lee 20 lb ...
It was great to be able to forget about temp control :)
It was the best mod I did to my casting process ;)

It’s universal, so pot brand is irrelvant.

Also check with Lyman. Lee has a policy if you return their pots, they'll only charge you for parts that need to be replaced. Perhaps Lyman has something similar. The PID article is a good read- I was always afraid it was one of those projects that looked a lot simpler than in practice (as so many are apt to be).
