I use a RCBS sizer lube-o-matic 2 and it works well. The problem I had was I couldn't find a RCBS,.401 lube die so I bought a Lyman die and the correct top punch and figured I was good to go. After numerous attempts of trying to set the right depth to achieve a sized bullet and a full lube groove, I ended up with excessive lube all over my bullets. The Lyman die has 2 sets of holes (8) total and for the life of me, I couldn't get it right. I got the idea to plug one set of holes and then try it again. First attempt was with epoxy. Didn't work very well. Then I thought I have all sizes of lead shot laying around so why not press the shot into the lube holes. I have a small "V" vise and I set the die into it then placed one #2 lead shot over the lube hole. Finishing it with a brass punch, then filling the other three with shot, seemed it would work. Success! I reassembled my RCBS lube-o-matic and it works like a charm. I'm sure I'm not the first to experience that issue, but If I am happy to share my experience. Thanks' guys.
