You won't accept that people who don't like Lynn personally, Lynn's marketing persona, or the company he built do so for any other reason than envy. Frankly that may be the case for some, but it is patently false for others since you can't apply it to all of those people and it simply is illogical to assume it is the case for those who you don't know. It is also absurd to tell people you don't know what their motives for criticism are based on envy when they respond that they don't envy Lynn or the Mythical Lynn. None of us read minds and when a member replies that they simply dislike the persona projected or the person themselves and have no envy, accept it or not, it is pedantic and pointless to continue to call them a liar.
I've known Lynn professionally for 20 years as others have for 20 or longer or 5 or less. He isn't universally liked, nor is he universally disliked, (something that can be said about any of us). Because he has a strong personality and projects a even more dramatic persona some people feel stronger in both directions about him/his persona. Some people envy his adventurous life and others envy his building a business based on his own marketing and efforts. Others envy nothing about him and either care nothing about the person/persona and others actively dislike one or both, while others like the person/persona. That's the way with most of us.
Claiming dislike is based universally on envy simply can't be the case since universals on something so personal don't apply. Since I personally know people equally successful in the knife industry that dislike everything about Lynn and people in the industry that are as successful that do like him, the idea that envy drives either universally is inaccurate.
Now, since this thread has wandered into bickering over envy we'll close it hoping NU a great future serving a community of buyers that like their products.
