I wanted A MAX 168s for my Browning High Wall B78 or 1885 if you will. I found some M1 ammo, Which I have now. I read on one of my hand loading sites that there was a lot of pressure associated with them. Said bolt actions may be able to feed them, I d of course need to know how mine will fare Thanx

In fact, "Garand" tailored ammunition is generally moderate pressure with medium burn rate powders.

Relax & shoot it. ;)

Need more information: is the ammo you are referring to as "M1" the US military load designated as US caliber .30 M1? Or is it the .30-06 ammo being supplied by the CMP as suitable for the M1 rifle? Can't give useful advice without more complete information.

Any quality bolt action will handle any ammo designed for the M1 Garand. The Garand loads are not "warm".

The reverse, however, is not the case. Don't fire "warm" commercial hunting .30-06 loads through your garand unless you have an adjustable gas plug.
