Wow. Was that a CMP gun?

Dean's might be getting some business from me in the future. :D

If going the DGR way, I'd get a Dane less wood myself. The wood is just going to be replaced, and no point in paying for a better barrel when it too is gonna be tossed.

But that is stunning.

You are going to put that behind glass aren't you? I would have to, just the thought of a ding in that wood. :what:

Beautiful work and an outstanding result. [envy/desire] ;)

I dunno how much that set you back, but that rifle is priceless. Absolute sweetness, man. ;)

To address all the "glass case" comments, I do intend to shoot this rifle and hopefully when I take it out to the range this weekend, it shoots as good as it looks. I plan on using it for the November CMP Western Games.

This is true. I didn't plan on sending a gun to DGR, though, when I originally bought this field grade.

If I were going to send another gun to DGR, it would most likely be a Dane less wood. Granted, I would still get the correct parts for the gun (sans barrel and stock).

Wow, that is one pretty Garand! Dean does awesome work doesn't he? He does a nice trigger job on the Garands too.

I sent my CMP SA M1 to him a while back and it came back absolutely perfect. It's like a brand new Garand. It's the most treasured gun of my collection.

Have you shot yours yet? I'll bet it shoots beautifully. Mine does.

Dayum! Excuse me while I clean the slobber from my keyboard.

I got to handle & shoot an M1 reworked by DGR at the last PA shoot on 8/20. It was sweet and had great looking wood, but I think your rifle's is even nicer.
