S if I put one of these Valves in I can use 4831 in my M1? Correct?

This brother is in northern Indiana. A wee bit far, I should think, to be a convenient exchange for someone in Alabama!

His intent right now is to either trade for the appropriate ammo or sell what he can't use and buy. Our oldest brother (in Virginia) has a bolt action that will eat this stuff up, but I don't think he's even shot his rifle in the last couple-three decades.
