Hi all,
While Ordnance and Springfield Armory were getting Orders for the M1 Garand Rifle from other services Ordnance was also looking for tooling and equipment funding to have a production line, when it got going, for a production rate of how many M1 Garands a day? Also what other change was Ordered? The time frame about late 1935 to early 1936.

Thanks again for taking the time and effort to read and reply to this

Hi all,
Ordnance was looking for a production rate of 200 M1 Rifles per day. Then for getting more funds for the M1 Garand Ordnance told SA to make that 200 Rifles per 8 hours. To do that change SA would have to have an additional producton line setup in choke points, like the Receiver so getting the funds was the trick which in Ordnance only added "per 8 hour day" and it worked.
