I recently purchased a synthetic stock Springfield M1A, and I'd like to swap the rubber buttpad for a GI M14 hinged metal buttplate. I saw they have them for sale on Fred's M14 Stocks with the necessary hardware. Should I be able to swap these parts out without complications? Does the SA stock take GI hardware?

TIA

Yes, the SAI uses a military stock, and accepts the steel buttplate.

Be warned, the military steel buttplate requires special screws. Make sure you have them. The one that's hard to find is the upper butt screw which include a square nut and stamped steel adapter.
