M1A/M14 Build

I am currently overseas, but plan on buying an M1A Scout Squad. I have a whole bunch of things I want to do to it. I have ordered alot of stuff for it, but still need to order the rifle itself, scope and scope rings and other things. This is what I have ordered, so you see where I am going with this.

M14 Troy Modular Chassis
X6 rail thermal covers
Magpul BUIS front and rear
Generic Flashlight and mount, I don't plan on really using it too much
Stark SE-1 AR-15 Pistol Grip
Magpul CTR-C (Commercial) Stock BLACK
TROY Modular Combat Grip - BLACK
AR-15 EZ Carbine QD Swivel Attachment, Daniel Defense
Troy Q.D. 360 Rail Mount - Push Button
Scope? I will shoot it for fun, and go deer hunting, but I do not plan on entering competitions or becoming a sniper. I want something for those purposes stated. I am unsure what to get.

It was bad enough picking out the rifle, as I went through everyone's posts and read all there opinions, as well as researched and read reviews for different rifles. I finally just said, screw it, I am getting the M1A Scout Squad. So if you have any other suggestions, like a scope, or other customizations, I would love to hear them.

Sounds like it's going to be a nice rifle rakestwin1.

I'm not much of an optics guy... my M1A sports a set of NM irons. However, I'd think that for what you want to do, some kind of low-intermediate power optic may be a good compromise.

Perhaps something like a Leupold VX3 1.5-5, or equivilent.

I like that Valdada I have seen on a couple rifles. It is 30 mm.

Well, I decided on Bushnell Trophy XLT 4-12x40mm Matte Riflescope with DOA 600 and Leapers Weaver Style 1" High Profile See-Thru Rings. I think that for the price it will work for what I need it too.

This is the pic of the final product. I could'nt get a scout squad right away, so i just bought the socom. I think it turned out alrigt.
