I just bought a Norinco M14 Sporter and its in pretty good shape except the windage knob had no "clicks". I guess it is worn since it is original and I've read here that the rear sights may have "soft" metal.
I tightened the Windage knob screw a little and it made the clicks more positive but when I turn the Windage knob clockwise it gets harder and harder to turn.
If I disassembled the entire and sight and cleaned it and reassembled it, do you think this would help or should I just look at replacing some parts ?
I'm on a pretty tight budget so what are the minimum parts I neet to replace to fix the problem ??
Any advice or tips appreciated.
