Offered to lighten the trigger on a buddy's S&W M351 Magnum...the trigger was a real bear.
Once inside, found a red mainspring that is really stout..it's so powerful that it even interferes with the rebound slide, unless that has a really powerful spring as well. The trigger won't return with a 12lb spring.
Any suggestions? Does the ..22 mag really require that stout a mainspring?
Thanks in advance,
Moon

Wolff says stock on a M351 is 12 lbs, vs 8.5 lbs for centerfire J frames.
Their extra power J spring is 9 lbs, they do not list 10 and 11 that you could use to stage down the load to find the least that would fire the .22 magnums.

Thanks, Jim. Have to wonder if that spring is a factory response to misfires under some circumstances; it seems a lot too much. Never ran into this bad a trigger on a J-Gun, and I've dealt with other J-.22s.
