ok i just picked up a awsome shape 1948 M44 the other day. i like that orignal iron sights but i plan on shooting 50-100 yards and trying at 200. is there any aftermarket sights i can toss on to help me find the ring?

ive seen the scope mounts and such, i will not drill into teh reciver or change the bolt handle. also i would prefer it be low enough for a good cheek weld.

so if anyone has any suggestions or pictures of what you have done it would be greatly appreaciated.

ive seen the mojo sights but what is so specal about them? i dont mind the iron sights, but at 200 yards its hard to see the paper target, i need some kind of magnifacation.

A hearty second on Darrel's scout mounts. I have two M44 mounts and a 91/30 mounts. All three are well made, and I've yet to have to touch the first one I bought, after close to 900 rounds.

Wow, thanks for that link Cosmo. Those mounts even look good on there, as opposed to the tumoresque mounts I usually see. Nice and low, and with low rings, even better. :)
