Made in America, The Mexican 90% Myth

I wouldn't be surprised if most of the guns used by Mexican drug cartels come from the US. Most of the guns used in the world come from the US or China. The US is a whole lot closer.

But whether they all come from here, or none of them come from here is really their problem, not ours.

ehhhh? Just counting Mosin-Nagant rifles, the SKS carbine and the AK family gives you a conservative estimate of over 300,000,000 firearms. American firearm production tops out at something like 6,000,000 a year.
Taurus/Rossi imports as many as Ruger and Mossberg make.

I noticed that the media likes to show fully auto AK-47's and claim they are bought in the U.S. More unvarnished bullcrap.

I'm sorry I didn't make my point very well. I meant that more guns are SOLD to their end users in the US than anywhere else in the world. I think that is probably true.

If a drug dealer gets a Taurs and an SKS in Dallas those guns "came from" the US.
