Mag well

I have 2 pistols on order should I add mag well to them or one of them ?

They are custom CZ clon with 19 rounds mags and extended threaded barrels, all black with fixed night sights .

I would say no for the magwell, unless you are going for a competition only gun, which it sounds like you arent if you are getting night sights.

Yes, I am buying those 2 pistol for self defense not competition.

But do you think the mag change will be little faster with the mag well.

For defense, it's unlikely you'll have to do a speed reload. If you did your part right, you'll have all the time you want to make your reload.......or you're dead and no reload is required.

I'd suggest spending the "magwell" money and get an action job instead. This would help insure you being able to do "your part right" in the first place.

Those are custom pistols , they allready come with action job .

So, what do you think a mag well or not .

I have to call them this week to finalize my specs on those custom pistols.

I have to make up my mind.

Sphinx costs about $3700

Does that mean CZ is not reliable ?

If this is to be a CCW, they are already big enough without adding the extra bulk and length of funnels to them. For open carry or home defense, they at least don't hurt.
