Magazine capacity in NY

I am looking at a cz-82 pistol with a 12 round mag. I know that new guns may only have a 10 round capacity, but what about older guns? The CZ-82 is likely a late 80's early 90's production. Would it be legal with a 12 round magazine. Thanks for the expertise.

As long as the magazine is pre 13SEP1994, it is legal to posess in NYS. See PL sec. 265.00 ss 23.

Yes, all surplus mags for that are pre-ban (it's a cold war era gun). CZ-83 mags will work in that gun, but they would be considered "post-ban".

As long as the magazine is preban you are good to go.
