I disassembled a magazine for the first time today: a 17 round Taurus 24/7 mag. Anyway, aside from the spring going flying (and nearly taking my eye out!) when I got the bottom off, it was relatively uneventful. I cleaned it with some #9 wiped it down, and reassembled. However, now it's really tough to get the 17th round in. The other mag that I didn't clean does not seem to be having this problem. I tried reassembling it and putting some lube in there, but it's still hard to get that last round in. It wasn't problematic prior to the cleaning. The gun seems to load, fire, and extract okay using snap caps. Any thoughts to help this n00b?

I have had mags that list 10, 14, 15, 19 rd capacity, and you can have multiples of the same mag and there is always that "one" where it is almost an impossibility to get that last cartridge in crippling your fingers in the process.
You might have that "one".... Buy another mag if 16 shots aren't enough....:)
