A couple of years ago I tried Maggut's spring kits for my Shield. It added 2 rounds with a negligible increase to the length of the magazine. I had no malfunctions. They just released their spring kit for the P365 family for those who are interested, and will be releasing it for the Shield Plus soon. Not everyone will want to pay $35 per magazine for an additional 2 rounds of capacity, but for those who do their product has worked well for me. I ordered one for my P365XL and will provide an update once I receive it and have had a chance to put some rounds through it.

I have a 13 round pocket P365 thanks to Magguts. I can also load the mag by hand.

I've been doing accelerated life testing on the MagGuts 12 +2 spring kits for the P365XL. The MagGuts spring is easily retaining it's spring force as much as the stock Sig magazine spring. The MagGuts kit loaded to 14 rounds requires LESS force to load the magazine and insert the magazine into the pistol, compared to the Sig magazine spring loaded to only 12 rds. Yet when loaded with only one round, the MagGuts spring has just as much force as the Sig spring. The MagGuts spring kit loaded to 14 rounds requires LESS force to retract the slide than the Sig spring loaded to only 12 rds.

HOWEVER, as received, the MagGuts springs have sharp burrs on them. The instructions even include a warning that the spring is sharp! If I lay the spring on it's side on the Masonite top of my workbench and move the spring, it SHAVES the masonite! This is NOT good! The spring can also be scraping the inside of the magazine shell and possibly hang up.

I lay a sheet of wet or dry sandpaper on a flat granite tile, lay the spring on it's side, and then wet sand the spring edges to remove the burrs. Then I use a diamond hone to slightly radius the corners of the spring.

No malfunctions of any kind so far. I've got 4 of these spring kits. Midwest Gun Works sells them for $31.95.

I look forward to your observations. I’ve considered these, not really because I need the +2 but because finding replacement springs are a real chore so I may consider some if the clearly tightly sprung mags start giving me issues.

Or if anyone has a good source for spare 12 round mag springs I’d appreciate it.

ISMI SIG SAUER P365 12 ROUND MAGAZINE SPRING PLUS 5%

When new this spring appears to have considerably less spring force than either the Sig 12 rd magazine spring or the MagGuts 12+2 spring kit. However, it does not appear to be losing it's spring force as fast as either the MagGuts 12+ 2 or the Sig 12rd magazine spring. The spring is claimed to be made from a superior spring steel that is formed into shape first and then heat treated followed by thermal stress relieving. This is a preliminary observation as I have not yet completed my testing. But it appears to be a good replacement fo the stock Sig spring. It's only about $6.

I'll give an attaboy for the NDZ +5% springs; the only real problem I've had with the 365 has been mag springs.
I've had some springs lose their power, and others that wouldn't nest well. It hasn't been a constant problem, but it is nice to have options if your mags ever act up.
I'm astounded that MagGuts can pack even more rounds into an otherwise crowded magazine.
Just me, but I'll stick with OEM.

I did forget to mention that there is one issue with the four NDZ +5 ISMI magazine springs that I received. The were NOT bent correctly at the bottom and would NOT properly retain the floorplate. The floorplate could literally fall off while handling the spring. I had to make a tiny bend at the bottom of the spring to match the SIg spring and then it worked fine.

I had the chance to put a little over 100 rounds through it. A thunderstorm hit and I was under a tin roof, so I had to cut my range time a little short. Most of what I shot was HST 124 grain or 124 +P, plus some of my reloads. It worked perfectly. I'll put some more rounds through it this weekend, but 15 rounds in a gun this small and shootable is fantastic.

I just posted this in the thread I created for the Shield Plus and wanted to post it here as well given my previous endorsement of this.

This is unfortunate. I ordered two for my P365XL. The first one worked well, however I tested the second one today and while it functioned fine with my reloads, 124 grain FN, it won't work reliably with my carry ammo, HST 124 grain and the same in +P. The nose of the bullets jam at the bottom of the feed ramp, something that never happens with the original spring and follower. It was worth a try given how well their product worked for my original Shield, but I'm cancelling my order for the Shield Plus conversions and returning the ones for my P365XL. It's not worth the extra 2 rounds given that I carry these guns.
