I like it when a gamble pays off. I've had a Vltor Emod stock on my Vz.58 for years but decided to risk the sight unseen purchase of MAGPUL's Yugo Zhukov-S stock and VZSA stock adapter. So what did I get for $134? Not only did the overall weight of the rifle drop by a significant 3/4 lb, I also have a straight comb folding stock that works much better with the Vortex red dot optic that's mounted. It also adds an additional QD attachment point near the back of the receiver and has adjustable LOP, but the stock is perfect for me fully collapsed as shown. I prefer the mounting system of the VZSA adapter that uses a bolt and nut rather than the threaded adapter I was using previously. Installation is easier with the nut and bolt. Overall I couldn't be happier with the new stock.
My next challenge is to remove the factory barrel and install a shorter barrel that's been threaded 1/2-28 so that I can attach a Dead Air Keymount brake and Dead Air SANDMAN-L suppressor. This little beast is fun to shoot as is but it's a little on the noisy side at the moment.
