Making a steel target

I certainly respect your comments and replies.

It seems funny to me that after twenty-five plus instructors and untold range-masters....helping with numerous "Bullets & Brats" and many many other shooting events....I've not been faced down with these concerns. Not once. These guys have forgotten more about range safety than I will ever learn.

Lots of on-site experts have shot and trained here....never a discussion about the range being 'unsafe'.

I hope we continue to enjoy safe shooting.

Having a range is a responsibility and a lot of fun.

I will ask some of my shooting experts to re-evaluate my range for safety. Just to be sure.

well, you obviously know the range a lot better than we do, and one picture may be deceiving. maybe there's nothing behind that for miles and it doesn't matter if an occasionally hunk of led zings off the top. or maybe you've only shot at the bottom and never hit the slanted top.

our perspective is perhaps slanted to the broader audience where lots of people are not as experienced and maybe don't have the SDZ you have, but might be tempted to use targets like that and have an accident even though you never have.
