All kidding aside, there's nothing funny about this incident -- even if all's well that ends well, as it did here. This is exactly the kind of random incident that a whole bunch of people out there read about or hear on the news and then say out loud, or think to themselves, "Well, here's another good reason to get rid of the guns."

We don't need this kind of negative publicity, and we sure shouldn't be making jokes about it, IMO. It's not smart, and it's not High Road, either.

Don't worry he's on the case!

I can't believe al McDonalds drive thrus don't already have cameras on them. I know lots of them have the pay at the first window then drive up to the 2nd window policy, but I've been thru some that have handed me the food first.....then I jammed on the gas and presto free food....ok I'm kidding about that part, but I'm sure it has crossed others minds. Besides if someone really wanted to rob a McDonalds it's like a drive up ATM. Maybe even just install a stil camera that takes pics of the car and license plate as it rolls through. If no crime is committed then just delete the file and keep on using the same hard drive.

Sorry, it is really sad what some people are doing, so sad that being jovial is our coping mechanism.

The McDonald's in my neck of the woods do have cameras on both windows, but cameras aren't the problem.
There were no security cameras in the 1930's, and people were honest.

I'm glad that everyone is okay.

I dunno about that. Some of the funniest things that have happened in my life involved almost losing an appendage or two.

As long as the police investigate, and people are unharmed, I don't see the harm in it.

I dunno about that either. This type of incident causes me to think that it is a good idea for mandatory military service (Marine Corps, of course...:D) and here's why: Any citizen in the area could then effectively conduct some sort of high-speed low-drag tactical felony stop and apprehend these douchebags instead of waiting to see if the cops can/will do anything about it.

You know I'm just yankin' your chain though, right? :D

yeah only i we could bring back some of the honest people from the 1930's such as Al Capone, John Dillenger, Bonnie and Clyde or Baby Face Nelson we would be living in a more honest world :p

Not having cameras is not the problem, the problem is dishonest/crazy/stupid people that do horrible things like this. Having a camera isn't in my eyes something that deters these people, they are just something to use to help find them afterward. I am not personally as concerned with prevention as much as I am with finding wrong doers and punishing them. It doesn't matter if we live in the 1930's or the 2030's there are always going to be bad guys.

Reading the description, you've got 2 guys being driven around by a girl in a girl's car. Why? Do they have warrants?

Actions seem like they might be influenced by substances.

If the witnesses saw the gun well enough to recognize it as a sawed-off shotgun they got a better view from the wrong end than anyone should want.

Person in the car behind would have been in a tight spot.

TRGRHPY: "Some of the funniest things that have happened in my life involved almost losing an appendage or two."

Roger that. You should hear the air disaster jokes they told at survivors' group.

"Whoop! Whoop! Pull up."

hahahaha See what I mean? That's funny!

A friend had video'd a flat-track race of mine where I crashed and broke my arm pretty bad...we laughed for quite a while...pausing at oportune times of me in mid-flight...slow motion...of course the vicodin helped a bit.:D

I can tell that if they think MCDONALDS hamburgers are bad, wait until they try PRISON hamburgers! Processed cheese food, one slice, pickles once a month or so, lettuce, ketchup and mayo packets, mustard once in a while, and the burger is 90% soy product, 10% low quality beef.

Sorry, guys, but I still don't find this funny ... particularly after the shooting in New York today. These events, when stacked together, one after another, do tremendous damage to the gun community. I enjoy a good joke as well as the next guy, but not at our own expense.
