Any one know where to find a 1895 replacement tube? I can find the 4 shot ones easily, but not the 6 shot ones.

The store near me has a older 1895 for sale, one with a 22" barrel and the short 4 shot magazine tube. Just pondering the idea of buying it and putting a longer 6 shot magazine tube on it, like used on the 20" 1895s.

You can't just change out 4 round tube to 6 or more tube. The mounting block on the bottom of the barrel for the mag tube will have to be moved. Give me a few minutes and I will have some pics to better explain.

Here are couple pics to better explain. It can be done, but just not as simple as swapping tubes.

Yeah, I am aware of that. That just requires a tap to remove.

At this point, pondering just looking for tubing with a similar ID/OD to use for it and just cutting it to length. Will need to find a compatible spring as well.

Aye. Good point. That would save on having to spend time finding similar tubing with a proper OD and ID.

That just requires a tap to remove.

You may want to look a little closer at pics, it is dovetailed into the barrel. A new dovetail will need to be cut to move it.
