I ran across a decent deal on Camp Carbine this weekend, mint, only 50 or so rounds through it. Being a sucker for most anything Marlin and cool, I adopted the poor thing.

I get all the controls except one: on the left side of the receiver, just behind the magazine release, is a switch which can be pushed up or down. I experimented (non-firing) with it to see what effect it has on anything, nothing presented itself.

So, anyone know what this switch does?

That is the last round hold open. I would also highly recommend replacing the recoil spring and buffer. Cheap insurance to avoid the gun beating itself to death.

Yup, if it's down there is no bolt hold open.

Where might I find the recoil spring and buffer rule303?

Thank you!

Blackjack buffers and gunsprings.com. I like the 21 pound spring for my .45.

I've got one .45 and two in 9mm. I'd be willing to sell one of the 9’s if anyone's interested. Comes with original box and papers, even the stickers and warning tags are still there.
I'd sell it outright or trade for/towards a Marlin .357.
[email protected] if interested.

Thanks all, got the blackjack and 21lb spring ordered. Will post some pics once I get it sorted out.
