Ok so I have a marlin model 60 .22lr that I got from my Dad, it means a lot to me so I like to shoot it every time I go to the range. Its had an issue for some time now where it rarely feeds rounds reliably upwards of 50% the rounds get fed at two high of an angle so it hits the top of the chamber and then the bolt closes and crushes them.

I have CLP'd it very well, I seem to think that maybe the feed ramp has a lot of build up on it, but cant seem to get it clean enough.

Any other suggestions?

Check your feed throat. They are made out of pot metal and weal out. If your gun is the old style you will need to convert it to the new style feed throat. Numrich has the parts.

Mine will start to do the same thing after about 100 rounds. I have to break it all the way down and I even spray some Break Free down the feed tube. Using B.F. eliminates the need for oil. If I over oil , it will build up and start to jam quicker. She is a real tack driver otherwise. Good luck.

+1 for what KC said, I have had one for over 10 years, very accurate and fun but after 100-125 rounds it starts goofing off, then it's time to break it down and clean.
