I wish CT would do the same. I have been lobbying the DEEP for years now to have a truly primitive season using only long bows and flint locks with patch & ball. I was successful several years agowhen I asked that .32 and .36 muzzle loaders be allowed for small game season on state land. Up to then, the largest rifle allowed for small game was a .22 long rifle.
