Yours a 7.5 French or a CAI 7.62x51 conversion?

There is a smith in PA that has done gas tube expansion chambers on these conversions.

The problem is that the 7.62 is delivering too much gas too soon and it effects function. Slowing down the pressure curve to put 7.62 gas operation in the range that 7.5 was designed for is the ticket.

Do a search for mas 49/56 adjustable gas valve. You'll find a thread by starmetal (on another forum) who used to make one. I have one on mine and it's worth the money.
