I'm currently looking at a 1905 DWM Gewher 98 with all matching numbers. (however I couldn't seem to find a number on the bolt itself, strange) It's in pretty nice shape. The stock looks excellent, no major dings or scrapes, and hasn't been refinished. The metal also is good condition and isn't rusted, and hasn't been refinished. The finish on the different parts were different though. I know that the Germans left the receivers in the white, but some of the other parts were a mix of finishes. Those Germans serial-matched everything down to the front sight and the action screws. The rifle is not import marked. The stock disc is in place and stamped with some unit numbers, don't remember exactly. Lots of proof and acceptance marks all over the action and stock, I'd guess 10-15 all together. The bore looked strong and bright.
So anyway, what would be a good price on this rifle, and what's the most that you'd spend? Thanks.
