Scrimshaw...this makes me want to try my hand at something for our 20th anniversary coming up in January...hmmm...
It might work for your metal etching.Turned out, it worked on my test piece of Formica counter-top.
But it didn't work on the Micarta.
I couldn't get it hot enough to stick without scorching the white Micarta!!
I finally just printed them on Parchment paper and cut right through to pattern.
There are several types of sheaths. Depends on the knife and how you plan to use it. I did a video series on my YouTube channel of a simple fold over for a Mora Companion.
